Hello again!

I want to translate a few things in the fader theme. So I've opened the file "btp_theme.po" inside the folder "language" with the Software "Poedit". I did my translations, saved it and put the new .po-file and the new .mo-file into the language folder.

But when I open my webside there's no translation.
What am I doing wrong?

Oh – sorry for making trouble. I found out, I've got to rename the files. In my case to "de_DE.po".
Now it works! :)

I copied the file and changed it to it_IT.po but nothing happened.

I copied it to child theme language but nothing happened

Pleas help me...

Hi,

Did you change the line "define('WPLANG', '');" in your "wp-config.php" file to "define('WPLANG', 'it_IT');".
You can have many translations but you must chose which one you want to use.

yes, I have define('WPLANG', 'it_IT');
in my config.php file
and it_IT.po into themes/flare/languages

So you have everything correctly configured but still translation doesn't work?
Which tool did you use to prepare your translation?
If you send me (bringthepixel [at] gmail [dot] com) your translation I'll check it.

Hi,

But you don't have the it_IT.mo file which is crucial here.
If you use poEdit you have enable option "File > Preferences > Editor subtab > Automaticaly compile .mo file on save" to generate .mo file after each modifucation of .po file.

I put the two files:

fr_FR.po
fr_FR.mo

In / wp-content/themes/flare/languages

But it does not work.

Thank you, uploading the .mo file it works!!!

It works only into the father theme or ther's a way to use my child theme?
It will be helpfull.

Hi,

Did you use some cache plugin?
If yes, try to clear the cache.

I do not understand why it does not work.

It works, I'm sorry.

I wrote FR_fr.mo instead of fr_FR.mo.
