Have you set up an ordinary page using the products template and also inserted different product categories and products? Use the same principle as shown in the Works You tube demo. Once you have done this you need to add the page and then the categories to the menu and this will give you different pages with products. The only problem I found using this method is that if you have for example a page called "cars" and you then have 2 main categories called say "Jaguar" and another one called "BMW" and then you have sub categories which are different models of Jaguar and BMW, the first page "Cars" lists every single product you inserted into products and the same happens with all the products which belong to the each category "BMW" and "Jaguar". Once you then finally click on a sub category (i.e. if it was set up as being different models of BMW and Jaguar cars) you then finally only see the sub category products.
I am trying to set up my site so that the products which belong to the sub categories are only invisible on each sub category page rather than everything being listed on the first menu page and then the category pages. It otherwise looks a little bit repetitive.

The main differences between standard WP categories and DICE Theme custom taxonomies is
SEPARATION, so you can't assign product category to blog post :)But the rest is the same
Adding product category to the menu is the same as adding blog category.
Just make sure you've got properly configured screen options in the top-right of the WP admin panel. Maybe product categories are hiddenPosted 2 years ago #
